This week has certainly proved to be a busy one for the staff at LinkedIn with the news that over 6 million passwords were hacked and posted online. You can read about it here.
Why anyone would want to do it is beyond me, but LinkedIn is taking the necessary steps to rectify the situation. They have disabled those accounts that have been compromised and sent an email to the owners letting know how they can change their password.
I didn’t receive that email, but just to make sure I’ve changed my password and I urge others to do the same. Here are some security tips from the folks at LinkedIn themselves going forward.
